Word Finder With Letters is an advanced word finder tool to find words from the given letters. Use it for help with word puzzles like Wordle, Scrabble, Words With Friends, and even crosswords.

This page has our main word finder which lets you to find words of either a specific length or any length. We also have word finders for specific word lengths:

The word finder tool works in three modes:

Find words by rearranging letters

Select "Any Length" in the Length dropdown and enter the letters you have. "?" can be used for blanks or wildcard letters. Our tool will find all words that can be made with these letters and blanks or wildcards.

Example

To find all words that can be made by rearranging the letters "ELHO" and one blank/wildcard, follow these steps:

  1. Leave the Length dropdown as "Any Length".
  2. Enter "ELHO?" in the letters input field.
  3. Click "Find All Words".

Our tool will find words that can be built by rearranging the letters ELHO and one blank/wildcard letter, like HELLO (wildcard used as an L), HOTEL (wildcard used as a T), as well 4, 3, and 2 letter words like HELP (wildcard used as a P), WHO (wildcard used as a W), and OH (wildcard not used).

Find words with letters in positions

To find words with specific letters in specific positions, select a length from the dropdown menu. This will display as input boxes for each place. Fill in the known letters in the corresponding input box and leave the remaining boxes empty.

Example

To find 5 letter words with "A" as the second letter and "K" as the fourth letter, follow these steps:

  1. Select a length of 5 from the dropdown menu.
  2. Enter "A" in the second box.
  3. Enter "K" in the fourth box.
  4. Click "Find All Words".

Our tool will find matching words like JACKY, HACKS, BACKS, and more.

Rearrange letters into words and also match letters at positions

When you select a specific length from the dropdown menu, you will see two input fields. You can choose to fill both fields or just one.

In the first input field, enter the letters you have. You can also use "?" as a blank/wildcard for each unknown letter. In the second input field, you will find as boxes for each position.

Example

To find 4 letter words that contain at least one "A" and one "B" and start with a "C", follow these steps:

  1. Select a length of 4 from the dropdown menu.
  2. Enter "AB" in the letters input field.
  3. Enter "C" in the first letter position box.
  4. Click "Find All Words".

This will show words like CABS, CARB, and CRAB.
